Ballbreaker, Codroipo February, 2012

A nice little AC/DC cover band made up of kids that could ALL very well be my sons in a bar called the “Casa Matta” (Crazy House) in nearby Codroipo (some 15 kms from Udine). That’s just how young they really are!

They’re quite good as they actually played one of my favorite AC/DC tunes, “Sink The Pink”, something even the real McCoys rarely ever do live in concert anymore! What a great treat in front of roughly 200 kids! That followed with all their famous hits, including an old Bon Scott hit, “Riff Raff” (another one of my all-time favorite tunes!), “Whole Lotta Rosie”, “Shoot To Thrill”, “Hell Ain’t A Bad Place To Be”, “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”, “T.N.T.”, “The Jack” (included was also “Angus’s” striptease followed by his bare ass!), “For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)”, “Hells Bells”, “Let There Be Rock” and naturally “Highway To Hell”.

Cool too as “Brian” at one point paraded throughout the bar with “Angus” on his shoulders. Reminded me of Winnipeg’s Arena and the first time I actually saw Bon and Co. live around 1978: that night Bon and Angus did the very same thing, with both of them passing right in front of my nose! History repeated itself with the Ballbreaker boys some 34 years later!

I must say, indeed a pretty good AC/DC cover band these Ballbreaker kids!
