Marco Ligabue, Vasanello, August 16th, 2026.

Marco is the kid brother of the more famous Ligabue, Luciano (I caught Big Luciano in Trieste years ago).

A good two-hour show for Marco and his four-piece band as he also covered music going back all the way to the 1960s.

IT'S ONLY ROCK'N'ROLL (BUT I CERTAINLY LIKE IT!)

This is (yet another!) blog of a rock’n’roll concert aficionado. At the time of writing (March, 2016), I’ve “only” seen 385 concerts, having started wayyyy back in 1976 (circa) with Kiss in Winnipeg, Canada during Kissmania! I also have the small record of so far having seen in concert three "Sirs": Paul McCartney (three times), Elton John (twice) and Mick Jagger (four times)!

Why the statue of AC/DC's Angus Young (we were born in the very same year, me only 3 days before him!)? Well, probably because if I've seen soooo many concerts in my life, what certainly encouraged me to do so was the AC/DC concert at the Winnipeg Arena in the late 1970s: that night I got to see the band complete with the late, great Bon Scott (he would die shortly after in February, 1980). After the Beatles, I think it's safe to say that my all-time favorite band is AC/DC, and I've been listening to their music since only 1975. That's indeed a long time. I figure also that the day that I WON'T go see an AC/DC concert (I've seen them 4 times so far) will be the day that I'm REALLY old!
