New York’s Patti Smith put on a terrific concert at Rome’s “Nuvola” (Cloud) convention center. After nearly 50 years from the release of her epic LP “Horses” the 74 year-old Smith is still going strong as she got her fans rocking in Rome with old hits such as “Because The Night”, “Gloria” and “People Have The Power”.
She did a beautiful rendition of an old Stevie Wonder song as well as a touching song which was dedicated to all the victims and their families of the Covid-19 pandemic. The “poetess” of rock, as many Italians call her, was joined on stage by her song Jackson Smith on guitar and her daughter Jesse Paris smith on piano.
