Negrita in concert in Udine October 27, 2013
Italian rock group Negrita performed to a sold-out audience in Udine, Italy
Negrita, the band from Arezzo, Tuscany, which was formed in the 1990s, played in Udine during its “Theatre Tour” across Italy. The band takes its name from a famous Rolling Stones’s song (from the “Black and Blue” album), “Hey! Negrita”.
Negrita’s first album, “Negrita”, came out in 1994. In 1999 the band was nominated for the “MTV European Music Awards” as “Best Italian Group”.
The Udine show consisted of a 20-piece set-list, mixed in also with some fine blues music. At one point, lead singer Pau also dedicated a song to the memory of the late, great Lou Reed who died the day of Negrita’s concert in Udine.
