Anoushka Shankar, Spoleto, 03/07/2025

After having seen her father Ravi Shankar in Winnipeg in 1977 (circa) and her stepsister Norah Jones in 2005 in Rome I can say that I’ve EVEN seen the great sitar player Anoushka Shankar at Spoleto’s wonderful "Festival of Two Worlds" and in the main square of the town, Piazza Duomo.  

A rather large audience for her 90 minute show which was followed by two encores.  Quite amazing also that she once played in front of her father and also Eric Clapton for the truly touching “Concert For George” at London’s Royal Albert Hall one yr after the death of George Harrison.

A nice concert (which I saw from afar and for free) down memory lane and with special guest Francesco De Gregori.  Not a packed C.M. though.
