“The Prophet of Funk” James Senese at Rome’s Casa del Jazz, August 5th, 2023

James Senese, known by many in Italy as “The Prophet of Funk”, played at Rome’s Summertime Festival at the Casa del Jazz (House of Jazz).  

Senese’s better known to many fans for having played for years with the late, Neapolitan musician Pino Daniele.  Together they played their version of Naples’s urban sound. Five years ago Senese celebrated his 50^th anniversary as one of the masters of the funk beat. 

 

Farfa Jazz Festival and photo exhibit, July-August, 2023

Another big grazie to friend and fellow photographer Francesco Urbanetti for having organized the 3rd photo exhibit which also includes once again my rock-pop-jazz pics.

This exhibit took place in the splendid town of Farfa (it's located about 70 km from Rome), a town which is also home to a splendid abbey.   Farfa is also home to the 17th summertime Jazz Festival.
